Tarot reference! Apparent similarity between Irene and Sylpheel from Slayers is deliberate. The colander has a meaning but I'm not telling. Irene is speaking old Irish, which is probably funny only to me. It means "Dragon's breath, spell of death and life, your song of making." It's also a reference to Boorman's Excalibur. The cookies are pentacles, the whisk is wands, and of course the fork stands for swords...
