The Bobbles were an alien species of spheroid creatures from a far-away galaxy, whose civilisation was all but destroyed when their planet was attacked by a space-faring culture of genocidal religious fanatics. Though inferior in technology and resources, the Bobbles managed to (barely) survive the conflict.
